When Nazi forces overran a town, they would establish a military government that used the local politicians.
In Maryland, an enemy has placed their politicians in the statehouse. They intend to disarm the reistance, and make sure that no boys get the ideas of their insane parents, that weapons have any legitimate purpose.
"Hours after the Assault Weapons Ban legislation was introduced, concerned sportsmen were calling and emailing their state Senators in protest. Approximately half of the homes in Maryland have at least one firearm, and almost every gun owner in the state would be affected by the retroactive legislation."
It was a waste of time. The enemy could easily ignore the protests, knowing that gun owners would do nothing more than gripe. And vote.
A more useful martial exercise would be for them to begin a new Minuteman Project to watch for federal troops crossing private property lines. The first border patrol could be at 401 Center of Town Rd, Plainfield NH 03781, property of Ed Brown. His phone number is 603-675-2909. It would provide great tactical experience, and put pressure on the compromised right to travel as well.
Professor Alan Dershowitz complained, those " ... who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the Constitution by claiming it's not an individual right or that it's too much of a public safety hazard, don't see the danger in the big picture. They're courting disaster by encouraging others to use the same means to eliminate portions of the Constitution they don't like."
Perhaps, but they got the idea from the roaring successes of previous compromises, like drivers permits, individual income tax, direct vote of senators, building permits, and Safety Checkpoints.
But no, lets give money and weapons to a legitimate militia like President Abbas's personal Force 17. Let Condi force Israel to stop all check points in Israel, while setting them up against the clear enemy, the armed American.
In the mean time, pull that truck over for a Safety Inspection.
Boy.
