Canadian Troops to Enforce Real ID "Compliance"?

Mar 28, 2008 07:33

The new cooperative agreement between the US and Canada places all discretion for use of foreign troops with the president despite assurances to states that the governor must invoke the act. The reasons for presidential invocation can be any situation where the state is unable or unwilling to enforce enjoyment of federal privileges or rights. That would include the Real ID act within states not willing to comply, and used against the state, presumably at the complaint of a state resident to the federal government.

"The State of Maine is currently refusing to abide by and adopt provisions of the REAL ID Act, which is a federal law. Under section 1068, of the NDAA, Maine could be considered in a state of “insurrection” by refusing to comply with REAL ID, thus activating the language and intent of the NDAA against them." Federal law has no authority within a state unless the state legislature agrees, and the act treats refusal as insurrection.

These are the same scenarios that the military practiced during the 1990's and recorded by wnd.com, whereby airborne Special Forces strike at police stations, courthouses, or other local government agencies that are hostile to federal law and kill them all. Other reasons to invoke the act are manpower shortages during local sports events.
