The Political Pariah, the Messiah, Troubled Bush's Trip

Jan 14, 2008 06:56

Starting with the very unusual fog that scrapped Bush's plans to fly to Ramallah Thursday morning, January 10, 2008 to visit Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas-- to the equally strange winter tornadoes in the US, the Pariah was causing trouble.

Even Bush's phony piety was rejected: he wanted the Temple lights off so that he could watch the sunrise that morning. The fog was so thick that there was no sun and he could not see the holy mount.

During the month of preparation before the trip to divide Jerusalem, Bush faced the secession of the Lakota, the revived Alaskan secession movement, and the Russian threat to recognize the new independent states. A summary of some of the troubles follows:

January 10, 3:00 PM, tornado in Kentucky
January 10, 12:00 PM, Storms through Louisiana and Mississippi
January 10-11, Three Confirmed Tornadoes Hit Alabama
January 11, winter storm lingered over northern Utah

The day before Ramallah, Wednesday the 9th, was when fog in Florida caused a 70 car pileup.
