Focus on the Family's Anti FLDS Crusade

Jun 08, 2009 14:34

The Focus on the Family ministry in Colorado Springs has some type of connection to Rossita Swinton, the streety Obama delegate that placed the fake call resulting in over 100 wives and over 500 dislocated children outside of Eldorado, Texas.

In their February 2009 issue of Citizen Magazine, Focus explained the biblical basis of their crusade, which reduces to the doctrine of "Biblical Ideal" as opposed to the Law. The biblical ideal is a subjective opinion about what is best and therefore is god's own choice as opposed to what god actually said. This was how they answered another periodical of biblical depth, Newsweek, as defense of the Torah!

We answer the chatty State Christians in the Solomonic ideal of few words: Yahveh himself said to David, "I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more."

We maintain that the instigators of the Great Rebellion that turns the world away from Moshiach will be the Christians and Jews, and anticipate that his marriage law is the primary reason why.
