Foreign Government's Growing Suspicion of US Aircraft

Jun 29, 2009 10:26

Chinese intelligence informed both India and Nigerian intelligence about two Russian AN-124 cargo aircraft operated by a Ukrainian contractor for the US Air Force!

On Friday, June 19, 2009 the two planes, one on its way from Giego Garcia to Kandahar, were forced to land. One was forced to land in Mumbai, India as it was about to enter Pakistan, and the other on the Atlantic side of Africa in Kano, Nigeria. Both were carrying military equipment.

In Mumbai airport there was panic because the spooks originally identified themselves as none scheduled over India but as a defense aircraft as it entered Pakistan. The plane was searched and found carrying military equipment and a Russian crew, who were temporarily arrested while Indian spies figured out what was happening.

The US demanded the release of both planes and one plane departed India, but the Russian FSB claimed that Nigeria refused and that US intelligence applied pressure by blowing up an oil pipeline, resulting in the second plane's release.

What started the fiasco was the very "conspiracy theory" that the conservatives love to scoff about, and we have warned that it is not necessarily what is true that drives diplomacy, but it was the perception of reality by China that resulted in an action against the US.
