FSB Report on the Baghdad Shooting

The first reports about the Army shoot-out on Monday, May 11 2009 was odd enough but the conflicting media reports confirmed to us that a mutiny had occurred. The FSB report makes more sense: "Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin today that dissident US Military Forces operating in Iraq engaged in a “furious and savage” gun battle with American Special Forces Troops guarding one of President Obama’s top political allies, US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi." Pelosi and Rep. Rush Holt arrived on Saturday with no definite departure date.

The backside reports have been that military is very hostile to the DC junta, and there have been persistent rumors of inter-agency gun battles. The suspicion of another Arkancide began when the first report was that the "shooter" had suicided, was replaced by the report that he was in custody! Experienced soldiers who didn't know whether he was dead? Only in the media!

Ignoring AP, the FSB account says that "US General David McKiernan, who immediately after this attack was relieved of his command by President Obama and replaced by US Special Forces Lieutenant General Stanley McChrystal known to be loyal to those forces protecting the new American leader from his formidable Israeli enemies." That makes more sense than Time's Mark Thompson's comment that the Pentagon was "Upset over an uninspired strategy"! Perhaps Mark should cover the Pope instead.

Pelosi released a statement of condolences on Monday, saying "I share President Obama's commitment to finding out what happened." So do we because they are obfuscating the departure date. Camp Liberty is located northeast of the Baghdad International Airport and would be the place for her to stay for security, and departure would be the morning following her meetings, or Monday. The shootout occurred 2PM Monday according to CNN and "The only service members who have loaded weapons are those guarding high-ranking officers and military police."

The "crime" got Obama's attention.
