Rebuking the Boneheads

May 10, 2007 10:34

David Chu, under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness, sent a May 2 memo chastising the Defense Department's civilian employees for having the worst delinquency rate for paying the unconstitutional federal income tax. This was the bureaucrat's response to Mark W. Everson, Internal Revenue Service commissioner's complaint that the DOD was turning into a den of tax rebels.

Chu, the wimp, whined that they ought to know better.

One rebel replied, "The Defense Department's civilians are decisively engaged in the war. They are helping our combatants carry a heavy load and don't need reminders to meet their obligations."

Now, if only the troops would mutiny and march on Washington.
