More Natural Disaster Related to Palestinian Statehood

May 09, 2007 14:38

Debka may shed some light on the long delay in any public Mid-east statement by Condoleezza Rice which we anticipated would lead to a series of natural disasters.

There have been disasters but seemingly not related to Rice. But Debka reported,
"In the last two or three weeks, DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report that that the Bush administration has shifted its policies around to adjust to the oil kingdom’s policy re-orientation.

Some US officials openly accuse the Saudi rulers of misleading Washington about its intentions. Secretary of state Condoleezza Rice in particular was given a promise that Riyadh would henceforth promote engagement for peace with Israel, a commitment on which they have reneged."

They have been quietly busy but the last two to three weeks have had repeated natural disaster. The policy shift is one of encouraging Israel to surrender sovereignty and "a full withdrawal to pre-1967 borders and the return of all 1948 Palestinian refugees for full Arab recognition." Suicide.

This was the Saudi plan which Israel had rejected because the Saudi plan was presented as a take-it-or-leave-it proposition – never as a basis for negotiation.

Sensing Jewish weakness, the Arabs are ready to "talk". "Saudi King Abdullah is now far along a road that breaks away from a deal he struck with Washington to isolate Iran and curb its expansion by consolidating a moderate Arab bloc." Abdullah has forced the PA's Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah to share power with Hamas.

The Saudi ruler has given Tehran and Assad a say in the strategy of Middle East conflicts in Iraq, Lebanon and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
