Firearms Confiscation Beginning with Jihadists

May 23, 2007 07:00

For years gun owners have speculated about plans that the federales had to confiscate firearms and impose military law. The most likely scenario according to a 1999 wnd article was, "Martial law has been declared through presidential powers and war powers act, and some citizens have refused to give up their weapons. They have taken over two of the buildings in Kingsville. The police cannot handle it. So you call these guys in. They show up and they zap everybody, take all the weapons, and let the local P.D. clean it up."

The specific reasons for such a scenario are more likely visible from the recent convictions of Muslims for firearms violations. Not for practicing a subversive religion, but for practice shooting.

Federal prosecutor Shelley Hicks made the profound charge that, "This defendant was (shooting) weapons with people who were intent on engaging in Jihad against the United States," which is what federal Nazi's regard constitutional types as doing also.

He was Pakistani student and Taliban recruit Shiraz Syed QAZI who "according to authorities, QAZI and three other Muslim men went on a paramilitary training outing in 2005 outside of Houston, Texas."

That is something that gun owners should have been doing instead of watching football. But, "Under federal law, it is illegal for a nonimmigrant with a student visa like QAZI to own or possess firearms or ammunition. He was convicted after a brief non-jury trial." Or to paraphrase, he was not convicted at all.

We maintain that Jihadists are a good example of what constitutional minded gun owners should have been practicing all along.

The Jihadists are becoming the specific reason why the Kingsville practice raid will become a reality, probably starting in Austin, Texas.
