The Rats Begin to Scatter

May 11, 2007 13:03

Bush issued a national security directive Wednesday, May 9, 2007 that plans to disperse the government for the case of a surprise, "decapitating" attack on the federal government. "Emphasis will be placed upon geographic dispersion of leadership, staff, and infrastructure in order to increase survivability and maintain uninterrupted Government Functions."

The White House understands Fourth Generation Warfare (4GW) in regards to its own survival, but not the troops.

The sages at Capitol Hill are anticipating what we have been saying for some time, that a three way civil war is brewing in the hills. The bottom dog is the federal government.

One may get an idea of how this war will be fought from John Robb’s new book, Brave New War: The Next Stage of Terrorism and the End of Globalization. In short, he says that globalization will end because of 4GW.

The strategy is that "Modern states depend on the functioning of numerous overlaid networks – fuel pipelines, electric grids, etc." Attacking these networks "will collapse the target system," the fed. William Lind disagrees with the effectiveness of such an attack but not the premise that 4GW will chase the feds into the hills.

The strength of the Left (including Muslims, enviro-pagans, and Marxists) and even constitutional militias is this: "4GW forces gain enormous strength from operating on an open-source basis. Anyone can play," sometimes called "leaderless resistance."

"A great description of the dynamics of OSW (Open Source Warfare) is a bazaar. People are trading, haggling, copying and sharing.

It’s so different from the quiet intensity and strict order of the cathedral-like Pentagon. This dynamic may be why Arab groups were some of the first guerilla movements to pick up on this new method and apply it to warfare."

The conclusion is that the Nazi's have overplayed their hand and the answer is "not in Soviet-style state structures such as the Department of Homeland Security but in de-centralization." But, for the Nazi's this may not work so well. The targets are smaller and easier to strike; loyalty to the state will weaken; local concerns will dominate.

Overall the prospects of the survival of the fed are reduced. "Robb foresees that as state structures fail; members of the middle class will (take) matters into their own hands by forming suburban collectives to share the costs of security --- as they do now with education – and shore up delivery of critical services.

These “armored suburbs” will deploy and maintain backup generators and communications links; they will be patrolled by civilian police auxiliaries that have received corporate training and boost their own state-of-the-art emergency response systems.

The only thing that can save the fed is repentance. Turning back to their constitutionally contracted actions and eliminating every other criminal activity. But, that would precipitate a civil war!
