According to the law known to ACORN U.S. Attorney Michael Gunnison, it is a serious crime to stockpile weapons based on personal beliefs about government, but gun owners are buying and stockpiling a record number and rate of terroristic instruments clearly having only one sporting purpose.
In Memphis, Tenn. one notorious gun runner said, "I've sold probably four times as much in the last six months as I have in 20 years combined." This crime, committed by his customers, can be punished by a "mandatory minimum 30-year prison sentence on one charge alone."
The crime specifically is amassing arms for defense against federal officials. The unwritten law was used 7-9-2009 and acting ACORN U.S. Attorney Michael Gunnison said the law says:
"By rejecting the rule of the law and substituting a personal code involving weapons, explosives and threats, the defendants [commit] increasingly serious crimes."
There is no other charge required to prosecute gun owners who are stockpiling weapons motivated by fears that "Obama would win and enact a radical programme of curtailing gun rights." The price of their weapons of choice, for "the AR-15, a variant of the AK-47, had increased by at least 25 per cent." Another store owner said "People are stockpiling ammunition."
These are obviously protest sales and rightly regarded by the US Army as terrorism. As the DHS ACORN said, "Their conduct has no place in a civil society," and neither does the DHS.
