WRVA just said one person reported in custody by 11:04:23 AM. Calls went out for more help along with requests for a lot of trauma dressing. There were multiple shooters at different locations attacking at 7:15-7:30 AM and 10 AM EDT.
HS troops began using APC's and set up Incident Command at Burruss Hall, the main administration building in the center of the campus. They continue to search for a second shooter.
Three assaults: at Norris Hall 205 & 207, West Ambler Johnston, and the tennis court area. The 7:15 shooter is in custody. Students were instructed to jump out of second floor windows to escape, more out of panic. Room 205 is a large auditorium style lecture hall.
All schools in the county are now closed along with some Maryland schools in lockdown.
Even by noon, witnessness reported "I’m a trucker and was NB on I81 by Blacksburg when this occured. There must have been 40 cops rolling and 15 ambulances rolling SB from Roanoke, VA." More troops entered the campus at noon.
The entire campus is being evacuated and by 12:06 the LEO command center (tractor trailer) was being set up. WSLS and NBC 10 is reporting Second assault in Norris Hall is dead. WFLA - 970 Radio just reported 32 are dead!
One was heavily armed asian man, with bandoliers of ammo. 1 dead in Ambler Johnson Dorms, 20 Dead in Norris hall. Were placed against the wall and executed.
Weather is 25 mph sustained winds here in RTP with 50 mph gusts. Due to the high winds they could not use helicopters.
